Life Membership

The membership of the Society is open to all individuals actively interested in ecological applications through research, teaching or management in forest ecosystems. There are two categories of membership:

• Life Members (India) are individuals, resident in India, interested in the subject and willing to contribute towards the objectives of the Society.(SAFER).Life membership Subscription for joining as Life member is 2000/-.
• Overseas Life Members are individuals residing outside India.Subscription for joining as Overseas Life member  is US $ 100

Privileges of Members and Overseas Members

• To be present and to vote in all General Body Meetings;
• To publish research papers and general articles in the Association’s publications, if accepted after peer review process;
• To attend and participate in all seminars, symposia and conferences, etc., the registration fees for as determined by the Executive committee with privileges / concessions for the Fellows and Members; 
• To serve on the Central Executive committee if co-opted for the purpose; and
• To vote in the elections and to get elected as a Member of the Executive Committee of the Society according to the procedure laid down for the purpose.
